Reference Number 0000391817 Purchase Type: One Time Only- Delivery Date:08/01/2025 The Town of Johnstown ("Town") in conjunction with the Thompson River Parks & Recreation District ("District") is issuing this Request for Proposal ("RFP") to invite experienced architectural firms to assist in the visioning and preparation of design and cost estimation for a new Senior Center and Community Facility ("Facility"). The Facility will be located in the future Centennial Park located at the southeast corner of Parish Avenue and Weld County Road 46 1/2. This park consists of 61 acres and is intended to become a regional park with iconic elements. The Facility is envisioned to act as a hub for programming for seniors, youth, and the community at large, as well as special events. This effort will require close coordination with the District and the Town, both of which will have representation on the design committee. This project will consist of three physically separate spaces that may be operated individually or independently yet should present a cohesive and functional overall facility. The three main components are: Senior Center Community Space (with a full kitchen) Recreation Space Project Description The proposed facility should include: Senior Center: A dedicated area with amenities tailored to the needs and activities of senior citizens (e.g., multipurpose room, wellness space, rest areas, and an office for the Senior Coordinator). (Approximately 5,000 SQFT) Community Space: A flexible-use space suitable for public meetings, classes, and events, and equipped with a commercial-grade kitchen for hosting and catering. (Approximately 5,000 SQFT) Recreation Space: A flexible use space containing a makers space, multipurpose rooms for recreation programming as well as district administration offices. (Approximately 6,500 SQFT) Each area must be physically separate, with the ability to function autonomously, including independent entries, utilities where feasible, and operational infrastructure. Contract Award (anticipated): August 18, 2025 Question Deadline 07/15/2025 at 3:00 PM MT All questions must be submitted in writing via email to Matt LeCerf at mlecerf@johnstownco.gov All question will be answered not later than through an issued RFP addendum. Questions received after this date will not be answered. The Town and/or District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive informalities, and negotiate with top-ranked firms. All costs incurred in the preparation of a proposal are the responsibility of the proposer.
