A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Scope of Work: The work to be done in general consists of mobilization; preparatory work, securing the work area for public safety, and site cleanup daily, traffic control; water pollution control program; localized excavation and subgrade preparation for pavement repairs and digouts; cold planing of asphalt pavement; placement of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA); residential street slurry seal; concrete curb, curb ramps, and sidewalk; pruning and removal of tree roots; lowering and adjustment of utility covers to finish grade; removal & replacement of traffic striping and pavement markings; and all other work shown on the Plans and as specified in the Project Manual and all other work as specified in these Special Conditions, Technical Provisions, and as shown on the Plans. Time for Final Completion. The Project must be fully completed within 40 working days (weekends and holidays excluded) from the start date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. City anticipates that the Work will begin in October 2025, but the anticipated start date is provided solely for convenience and is neither certain nor binding. Liquidated Damages. It is expressly understood that if Final Completion is not achieved within the Contract Time, City will suffer damages from the delay that are difficult to determine and accurately specify. City will charge the Contractor $3,000 for each calendar day that Final Completion is delayed beyond the Contract Time. Performance and Payment Bonds. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Price, as further specified in the Contract Documents. License and Registration Requirements. 3.1 License. This Project requires a valid California contractor's license for the following classifications: Class "A," General Engineering Contractor or Class "C-12," Earthwork and Paving Contractor. Subcontractor List. Each Subcontractor must be registered with the DIR to perform work on public projects. Each bidder must submit a completed Subcontractor List form with its Bid Form, including the name, location of the place of business, California contractor license number, DIR registration number, and percentage of the Work to be performed (based on the base bid price) for each Subcontractor that will perform Work or service or fabricate or install Work for the prime contractor in excess of one-half of 1% of the bid price, using the Subcontractor List form included with the Contract Documents. Engineer's Estimate: $2,224,000.
