Renovation of a parking garage in Concord, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.

Scope of Work. The project's primary purpose is to refurbish two (2) elevators located at the City of Concord's Parking Garage. The work includes but is not limited to removal and replacement of cab panels, floor, dome, doors, sills, lighting, handrails, control interface (buttons) and panels, and floor finishes. Additive alternates for the replacement of 1st floor landing doors and frames and selective landing sills and lower fascia may also be included. Scope of work includes preparatory work, mobilization, securing the work area for public safety, and site cleanup daily, attending meetings, providing required submittals and schedules, coordinating and phasing work with Public Works to minimize operational impacts to the Parking Garage for the public and all other work as specified in these General Conditions, Technical Provisions, and as shown on the Plans. Time for Final Completion. The Project must be fully completed within 96 calendar days from the start date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. City anticipates that the Work will begin on or about September 2025, but the anticipated start date is provided solely for convenience and is neither certain nor binding. Liquidated Damages. It is expressly understood that if Final Completion is not achieved within the Contract Time, City will suffer damages from the delay that are difficult to determine and accurately specify. City will charge the Contractor $500 for each calendar day that Final Completion is delayed beyond the Contract Time. Bid Security. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check made payable to City, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California on the Bid Bond form included with the Contract Documents. Performance and Payment Bonds. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Price, as further specified in the Contract Documents.
