Minimum Qualifications: Contractor have successfully completed at least one (1) State Engineer's Office (SEO) jurisdictional dam project in the past 5 years. Question Deadline 08/04/2025 at 4:00 PM MT Questions are submitted online No Buyer Preferences, Guidelines & Requirements General Requirements - Bid Deposit - Insurance Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Labor and Materials Bond 100 % A Proposal Guarantee in an amount equal to 5% of the total Proposal amount is at the time of the proposal submission. The Guarantee be a Proposal Bond executed by the proposer on the City's own form, or a cashier's check payable to the City of Longmont. If awarded, a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond are within 10 of the date the written Notice of Award, each for the total amount of the Contract Price. No proposer may withdraw a proposal for a period of 60 after the Proposal Due Date and Time. The City of Longmont reserves the right to cancel this Request for Proposal; reject any Proposal, in whole or in part; to adjust the quantity of Work to be done as mandated by budgetary requirements; and to waive informalities or irregularities in the proposals received, when it is in the City's best interest to do so. The rehabilitation of Nelson Flanders Reservoir includes the modification of the west and northwest dam embankment. The embankments will be widened towards the reservoir interior and a shallow cutoff bedrock key will be added. The upstream dam slope is being extended into the reservoir interior by approximately 17 feet. The dam embankment widening is approximately 875 feet in length. The upstream dam slope is being extended into the reservoir interior by approximately 17 feet. The dam embankment widening is approximately 875 feet in length. The borrow area for the The dam embankment on the northwest and north side of the reservoir will have the interior (upstream) slopeexcavated down to bedrock and stockpile for reuse. The remainder of the fill for the dam embankment soils shall come from the borrow area. Dam embankment soils shall be moisture conditions, mixed and compacted for each 8-inch loose lift which are to be tested. Existing riprap will be removed from the dam and stockpiled for reuse. The riprap will be placed at 24-inch thick perpendicular to the slope. The existing riprap bedding will be stockpiled for borrow area backfill. A two-foot-deep cutoff key will be constructed into the bedrock. The key will vary from 15 feet to 25 feet wide, depending on the elevation of the key cutoff. Additionally, a one-foot-thick clay blanket will be constructed 25 feet from the upstream dam toe, which transitions to a two-foot-thick clay blanket in the northeast corner of the reservoir near the existing outlet works structure which will be constrained by a new cast-in-place reinforced concrete wall.
