Demolition and site work for a multi-residential development in Meriden, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the demolition of a multi-residential development; and for site work for a multi-residential development.
**As of September 05, 2025, Proj is on hold. No definite date for the rebid.** The project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established The City of Meriden seeks the services of a qualified certified contractor with a Class A Demolition License to demolish the building at 261 Cook Avenue and dispose of all debris Scope Description & Specifications Complete demolition of the building at 261 Cook Avenue and dispose of all debris. General Notes: 1. Demolition to be completed in compliance with all State and Local regulations. 2. All material shall be removed from the site and disposed of properly. 3. Hazardous building materials will be handled in accordance with the attached specifications. 4. All utilities will be disconnected prior to obtaining demolition permit from the Building Department. 5. Basement foundation walls will be cut off a minimum of 2-feet below grade. Basement floor slab will be crushed to allow water to drain through, but can remain in place. 6. Site driveway and concrete pad behind the house to remain. Sidewalks on site to be removed. 7. Basement will be backfilled with clean fill. Topsoil and seed the disturbed areas of the site at the completion of the demolition.
