The city of phoenix invites sealed offers for illuminated street signs for a five-year contract commencing on or about december 1, 2025, in accordance with the specifications and provisions contained herein or the "effective date" which is upon award by city council, conditioned upon signature and recording by the city clerk's department, as required by the phoenix city code, whichever is later. This solicitation is available through the city's procurement portal. The Contractor shall provide labor, material, and equipment to fabricate and install Light Emitting Diode (LED) street name signs in accordance with the requirements of the specifications as stated herein. 3.1. General Description of Services The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, and transportation to fabricate, install, and maintain Light Emitting Diode (LED) illuminated street name signs on an as-needed basis over a five (5) year term, in accordance with the requirements set forth in this Scope of Work. Services shall include new sign fabrication and installation, replacement of existing sign faces, and a full range of ancillary services as further described below. All work shall be performed by properly trained and certified personnel, and in compliance with applicable industry standards, City of Phoenix requirements, and local electrical codes. 3.2. Core Services The Contractor shall: 1. Fabricate and install new LED illuminated street name signs in accordance with the design and material specifications provided herein. 2. Fabricate and replace existing sign faces with new sign panels that meet the required visibility and durability standards. 3. Provide all necessary labor, materials, and hardware to perform related work, including but not limited to sign cabinet production, LED integration, and structural support. 3.3. Ancillary Services The Contractor shall provide the following ancillary services as-needed and at unit rates established in the pricing schedule: 1. Crane Truck Services - Provide crane truck with operator for lifting and placement tasks involving signs or poles. 2. Bucket Truck Services - Provide bucket truck with certified operator for elevated work on traffic signal infrastructure. 3. Electrician Labor - Journeyman - Provide journeyman-level electrician with IMSA Level II Certification. 4. Electrician Labor - Helper - Provide electrician's helper to assist with installations under journeyman supervision. 5. Additional Mounting Hardware - Furnish and install mounting brackets, adapters, and other required components. 6. Additional LED Conversion Kits - Supply and install retrofit kits for upgrading existing signs to LED illumination. 7. New Sign Install with Weld Mounts - Perform welding for structural mounting of new signs by AWS-certified welders. 8. Rework of Existing Sign Cabinets - Weld Repairs - Modify or repair sign cabinets using welds and protective finishes. 9. Tach Weld with MX Brackets - Perform tach welds with MX brackets for retrofitting or reinforcing sign mounts. Notwithstanding the foregoing, this agreement will terminate upon the earliest occurrence: by reaching the end of the term including any extensions exercised, or termination pursuant to the provisions of this agreement.
