Demolition and site work for a residential development in Ashland, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
Asbestos survey and abatement, if necessary, will be completed by the City of Ashland prior to demolition. The City of Ashland, through its City Manager and Director of Community and Economic Development, reserves the right to accept or reject all or any part of the bid should it be deemed in the best interest of the City of Ashland. Locations: 4020 Mound Street, Ashland, KY 41101 2926-2928 Central Avenue, Ashland, KY 41101 Asbestos survey and abatement, if necessary, will be completed by the City of Ashland prior to demolition. Having carefully examined the site(s) of the proposed work and being fully informed in regard to the conditions to be met in the work, and having read and examined the Information for Bidders, Form of Proposal, Standard General Conditions of the Contract for Construction, Supplemental General Conditions, Detail Specifications, Contract Forms and Plans pertaining to this work, all of which the Bidder considers a part of this Proposal, and having had all questions or apparent discrepancies fully cleared up, the undersigned proposes to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment required to perform the work described above in accordance with the contract documents within sixty (60) consecutive days from the Notice to Proceed at the lump sum price stated below. The Bidder agrees that this bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the actual date of opening. All fences, walls, sheds, garages, blacktop, foundation, and other encumbrances upon or within the lot shall be removed by the contractor as directed by the City of Ashland. Any resulting holes, excavations, or other hazards to the public shall be removed by the contractor, except as specified by the City of Ashland, before the work will be considered complete. Removal of such items shall be included in the lump sum bid for the demolition of the structure(s). All rubbish and debris found on the site at the start of work and that resulting from demolition operations shall be removed from the site and disposed of by the contractor. Contractor must comply with all state and federal waste disposal laws and regulations. When properties are approved for demolition, program recipients must ensure that the demolition waste is properly disposed of at a permitted/licensed sanitary landfill. Landfill disposal receipts must be submitted prior to payment. All interpretations of these specifications shall be made on this basis. Questions concerning the project will be addressed prior to construction, and a dialogue will be maintained between the City and the contractor to address problems that occur during construction.
