Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in South Elgin, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
Work will include site clearing, earthwork operations, asphalt paving, color coat, concrete paving and curbs, fence and site furniture installation, fabric shade installation, storm sewer work, electrical work and restoration. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the South Elgin Parks & Recreation. The South Elgin Parks & Recreation reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be with-drawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the South Elgin Parks & Recreation. The South Elgin Parks & Recreation encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction. The contractor(s) selected will also be required to comply with all federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations and executive orders pertaining to equal employment opportunity.
