Question Deadline 07/30/2025 at 11:00 AM CT All questions, either administrative or technical, shall be submitted via email to Tony Sperkowski at asperkowski@wheaton.il.us This Specification covers all work necessary to repair and rehabilitate sanitary sewer manholes within the City of Wheaton's sewer collection system. The Contractor shall deliver a finished product including all materials, labor, equipment, and services necessary for mobilization, traffic control, bypass pumping/diversion of sewage flows, cleaning equipment, manhole preparation and cleaning, product installation, all quality controls and samples for performance of required materials tests and final inspection and warranty work, as specified in these contract documents and in accordance with the quantities shown in the Bid Proposal Worksheet. The project includes installation of a cementitious coating, bench and trough repair, and grouting the bottom section of a manhole within various existing sanitary sewer manholes and all related and ancillary work. The total estimated vertical feet of 4-foot nominal diameter manholes to be rehabilitated with a cementitious coating is approximately 153 feet. Manhole repair and/or leakage control may be required prior to rehabilitation of these manholes. b. Eight manholes require bench and trough repair. c. One precast manhole requires the bottom section of a sanitary sewer manhole to be grouted to eliminate infiltration through a large crack and stabilize the bottom section of the manhole. d. Any frame or lid replacement required to complete this work will be performed by the City.
