The deadline for questions is Thursday July 31st by 5pm. The project location will be: May Street, starting on the East side of Young Lane going West to the West side of Elan Drive. The project is approximately 1700 linear feet long and covers approximately 39,100 square feet. The work to be done under this contract consists of the following: 1) Grind out existing asphalt with a 2" grind from the outsides of the fog lines, approximately 23'wide, this will include the removal/disposal of grindings, compaction of any exposed base material, and sweeping of the street after grinding. A tack coat shall be applied before replacement of the new asphalt. 2) Replacement of the 2" of asphalt will be with a level 2, half inch aggregate dense ACP surface asphalt, PG 64-22 binder asphalt, installed and compacted. After the paving is completed, the contractor is required to sand seal all edges where new asphalt meets old asphalt., 3) Replace all paint striping- to include a 4" yellow paint skip center line (approximately 400 linear feet of yellow paint), and a 4" white paint fog line on both sides of the street (approximately 3200 linear feet of white paint). 4) The contractor will be responsible for all traffic control required for this project. Traffic control must conform with ODOT standards. 5) Removal of all debris from job site will be required when the project is complete. 6) Concrete curb damage that occurs during this project shall be replaced. 7) Project to be completed by September 30, 2025 7) All work is located in Hood River, OR. The Owner may reject any Bid not in compliance with prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject for good cause any or all bids upon a finding of the Owner that it is in the public interest to do so.
