Renovation of a mixed-use development in Evanston, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
Work on this project includes retrofitting the existing storefront entrances at the Police-Fire Headquarters building with impact-resistant glazing, new door hardware including handicap operators and push-buttons, video intercoms, and key fob systems. Question Deadline 08/08/2025 All questions related to this bid document should be submitted in writing to Linda Thomas, Purchasing Specialist at lithomas@cityofevanston.org with a copy to Tim Kirkby, at tkirkby@cityofevanston.org. Only inquiries received a minimum of seven (7) working days prior to the date set for the opening of bids, will be given any consideration. The State of Illinois requires under Public Works contracts that the general prevailing rate of wages in this locality be paid for each craft or type of worker hereunder. This requirement is in accordance with The Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) as amended. The Evanston City Council also reserves the right to award the contract to an Evanston firm if that firm's bid is within 5% of the low bid. The City of Evanston reserves the right to reject any or all submittals or to accept the submittal(s) deemed most advantageous to the City.
