Estimate range for the project is $10,000-$20,000 The City of Sedro-Woolley is soliciting bids through our vendor roster hosted by MRSC Rosters for the abatement of a 1014 square foot residential structure located. The house in question is estimated by county records to have been constructed in 1971. A good faith survey of the building was completed in June of 2025. Survey results found that the building detected various quantities of asbestos in 664 sq ft of popcorn ceiling in the living room, hallway, and all 3 bedrooms. Asbestos was also detected in 160 sq ft of the dining room and kitchen vinyl flooring, and 10 sq ft of vinyl behind the washing machine. Please see the attached report that contains further details and quantities. *Asbestos survey report attached We also require a bid price to provide an onsite asbestos supervisor for one 10-hour day to do air testing and do a negative air quality assessment while the city demolishes the structure. The contractor shall verify all measurements and quantities prior to submitting a bid proposal. Bids shall include total costs including labor and materials, obtaining necessary licenses and permits (local and/or state), and all equipment necessary to safely complete the job, disposal of all related waste and clean up of the site. Disposal of asbestos materials must take place at a facility appropriately certified to accept such materials, and the city shall be provided with receipt of disposal. State prevailing wage rates per Washington State Department of Labor and Industries are required.
