GWD 51 seeks to solicit bids from qualified vendors to remove and replace an existing awning at Ware Shoals Primary School. GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK: It is the intent of Greenwood School District 51 (Ware Shoals) to solicit bids from qualified vendors to remove and replace an existing awning currently in place at Ware Shoals Primary School located at 15269 Indian Mound Road, Ware Shoals South Carolina, 29692. The specifications cover services to furnish all labor, materials, permits and equipment necessary to provide the services herein. DESCRIPTION: 1. Provide all labor, equipment, and material necessary to remove, fabricate, and install +- 3,645sq.ft of new awnings along the front walkway of Ware Shoals Primary School. New awning will consist of "W" pan style aluminum canopy resembling two newer versions on site. Posts shall consist of 3"x3" aluminum and water is to drain through posts. 2. Center walkway shall consist of a custom arched "Standing Seam" canopy. Canopy will be 14'0" wide and project out from the front entrance 40'0". Canopy will have custom built 8"x3" aluminum curved boxbeams with 2"x1" straight aluminum runners on top of arches to attach arched standing seam metal. Canopy to be mounted on 10" aluminum boxbeams with 4 posts @ 4"x4" aluminum. All aluminum framing will be powder coated to match the bronze used on all other awnings on school building. 3. The district will not accept used or reconditioned parts/equipment. Items must be new. 4.
