Conceptual plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; water / sewer project; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.

Construction of a park including a pathway system with various walking circuit distances and fitness stations to encourage recreational use and fitness. An extensive dry play and water play area will be designed at a district park scale which will be unique in the Community and possibly with thematic character. A Public Art Component or components should be included as the projects fits within the 1% public art policy requirement. The specific park program elements will include but not be limited to the following amenities: Full sized football field with artificial turf and lighting, with overlapping Level A Soccer field and bleachers. Two (2) full sized soccer fields or one (1) cricket field. One (1) intermediate sized soccer field with intermediate soccer field. Sports Field lighting. Ultimate field. Fencing between fields where required. Skateboard Park. Full sized boarded rink/multipurpose court with lights and removeable basketball standards. Puddle rink. 2 tennis courts with overlay of 2 pickleball courts. Half tennis court with practice wall. Parking for all facilities and possible additional parking within hydro corridor. Fitness stations. TIMELINE: An RFP for engineering design services has closed, submissions are under review. Phase 1 park construction in 2026 is subject to budget approval.
