Renovation of a mixed-use development in Chehalis, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility; and municipal facility.
Lewis County is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide bids for the Fiber Infrastructure Upgrade - Lewis County Law and Justice Building and Jail, located in Chehalis WA. Lewis County is seeking a qualified vendor to upgrade existing fiber infrastructure in the Lewis County Law and Justice Building and Jail. The project includes installation of new single-mode fiber optic cabling between six intermediate distribution frames (IDFs), termination at each location, and necessary panel and cassette hardware to support the upgrade. This effort is part of a broader modernization initiative to improve bandwidth and network resilience across critical public safety systems. Fiber Installation Install six 24-strand single-mode fiber (OS2 or equivalent) runs between MDF and IDF locations. Runs must support gigabit and 10-gigabit speeds over long distances. Installation should use existing conduit where feasible, with fiber routed through microduct or armor as appropriate. Known runs are approximately 3000ft and include: Prosecutors IDF Electrical Room IDF Electrical Room IDF Roof MDF Electrical Room IDF Tool Room IDF Tool Room IDF Pit IDF Roof MDF Video Arraignment IDF Roof MDF Admin IDF Only contractors accepted to a small works roster before a project-specific roster is generated can be invited to bid and be awarded a small works contract. Oral explanations or instructions given before the award of a contract will not be binding. Any information given a prospective bidder concerning a solicitation will be furnished promptly to all other prospective bidders by addendum to the solicitation, if that information is necessary in submitting bids or if the lack of it would be prejudicial to other prospective bidders.
