Description: This Contract provides for the improvement of NW Louisiana Ave with the grind and overlay of approximately 1,100 linear feet of existing 68-foot-wide asphalt pavement from NW Chamber of Commerce Way to approximately 200-ft north of the NW Arkansas way roundabout. The project also includes reinstallation of traffic signal detection, replacement of ADA ramps to current requirements, and striping. Existing curb, gutter and sidewalk outside the intersections, as well as streetlights and the existing storm drain system, will remain. A contract will be awarded, or all bids rejected within 60 days after the bid opening. Bids received after the fixed time for opening cannot be considered. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Chehalis.
