Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Springfield, Oregon. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.
Conduit install - railroad crossing Scope of work Springfield utility board (sub) seeks a contractor to install underground facilities consisting of six (6) four-inch (4") & four (4) two-inch (2") schedule 40 conduits for installing new underground electric distribution cable for the entire length of the project. This work will include installing four (4) 5x7' concrete vaults and lids. The work will consist of using the bore-and-jack method for installing a new 24" inch steel casing pipe under a railroad spur and trenching at one Location. Location: work will include, but not limited to, installing two (2) 5'x7' vaults on the west side of a private err spur, two (2) 5x7' vaults on the east side of a rr spur and ~200' ft. Of 24"00- inch do 1/2 " inch thick steel casing pipe under private rr spur filled with six (6) 4" inch conduits and four (4) 2" inch conduits at one location on s. 18th street in Springfield or. Contract award if applicable, the mem beers of Springfield utility board will vote on the award of contract at the regularly scheduled board meeting on September 10, 2025 (if required). Performance Dates: To be completed by October 31, 2025 or sooner. A) bid bond: if the utility estimates the public improvement contract resulting from this bid will exceed $100,000, each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified cashier' check upon a bank in good standing, payable to sub, in an amount equal to at least ten (10%) percent of the total amount of the bid (oar 137-049-0290). Such funds shall be forfeited and become the property of sub if the bidder fails or refuses to enter into a contract and furnish satisfactory bond within ten (10) days (weekends and holidays excepted) after notification that its bid has been accepted. The check accompanying the accepted bid will be retained until the contract is signed and the contract bond of the successful bidder is approved by sub. Bid bonds shall be issued by a surety company registered to issue bonds in the state of Oregon and utilizing a bond form acceptable to sub. Such bid guaranty bond shall be forfeited and become the property of sub in case the bidder shall fail or neglect to furnish a satisfactory performance and/or payment bond issued by a viable bond company acceptable to sub as required by ors 279c.380 and to execute the contract within ten (10) days (Saturday, Sunday and holidays excepted) after receiving Contract from sub for execution. For information regarding performance and payment bond requirements, contact the individual specified in section 4 above. B) payment & performance bond: if the contract that results from this bid exceeds $100,000, the successful bidder shall furnish, as part of execution of the contract, a corporate Surety payment and performance bond in an amount equal to the full amount of the contract (oar 137-049-0460). This bond shall be conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract and upon payment of all persons supplying labour and materials for the construction of the work. The form and surety for the bond shall meet the approval of sub and its attorney. Mandatory pre-bid conference/job walk through check if applicable all prospective bidders are invited to attend a mandatory pre-bid job walk through at: 10:30 a.M. On 8-12-25. Participants will meet at 202 s. 18th St.., Springfield, Oregon. The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss questions relative to the bid documents, bidding procedure and project specifications. The walk through will allow prospective bidders an opportunity to inspect the field conditions and nature of work to be performed. Statements made by sub representatives at this meeting are not binding upon sub unless confirmed by written addendum Sub reserves the right to waive minor irregularities or errors contained in the submitted bid, if the intent is clear. However, failure on the bidder's part to request clarification as stipulated above shall obligate the bidder to abide by sub's decision as to the intended meaning of any portion of the provision. Sub reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
