The City of Benicia desires to obtain the services of an outside organization to help the City with the maintenance and repair of the City's traffic signals and streetlights by providing maintenance, repairs, inspections, locate services, and emergency callouts for those streetlights and traffic signals. This would also include flashing beacons, lighted crosswalks, and solar powered radar speed signs. The selected organization will perform the full range of services including operation and services necessary to keep all streetlights, traffic signals and safety lights operational, emergency response/service calls, and extra work. The City of Benicia is a general law city located in Solano County. The City is soliciting proposals for the maintenance and repair of approximately 2,300 streetlights and 11 traffic signal intersections throughout the city along with approximately 12 lighted crosswalks, 12 beacons, and 11 solar powered radar speed signs that require maintenance and repair services to ensure proper and safe operation. It is imperative that all equipment in the respective systems is serviceable and in operation at all times. The Selected Respondent shall maintain professional licenses required by the laws of the State of California at all times while performing Services for the Project. City reserves the right to make such modifications or additions to the form of Professional Services Agreement attached to this RFP, as City may elect in its sole discretion prior to the execution thereof, and thereafter as otherwise permitted by the Professional Services Agreement. Otherwise, City reserves the right to make modifications or additions with the mutual consent of the Selected Respondent.
