Riverton City is conducting an Invitation for Bid for a Retaining Wall & Fencing Project. Work on this project includes: Removal of existing fence, constructing 234 feet of concrete retaining wall with varying height from 2 feet up to 4 feet, installing new fence along the top of the retaining wall, backfill behind the wall and landscaping along 13800 South that matches the existing landscaping. Bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall accompany each bid. Questions must be directed to ccalvert@rivertonutah.gov Project Scope - Provide fence removal services and concrete retaining wall construction located along 13800 South next to the Welby Jacob canal. Work, as shown in the plans includes removal of existing fence, constructing 234 feet of concrete retaining wall with varying height from 2 feet up to 4 feet, installing new fence along the top of the retaining wall, backfill behind the wall and landscaping along 13800 South that matches the existing landscaping. Schedule - Work needs to be complete by September 30, 2025. Work specifics for this project include: Construction to conform to Riverton City Standards Specifications and Plans Manual and APWA Standards, latest edition, Survey control will be provided to contractor. Contractor to provide construction survey, Adjacent property owner has a designated landscape architect, who will answer questions as necessary on behalf of the adjacent property owner, Two conduit sleeves are to be provided through the concrete retaining wall. Location of the conduit sleeves to be determined by the property owner/landscape architect, Removal of the adjacent sidewalk and curb and gutter is required because they are sloped to the north potentially causing storm water to discharge onto private property. Field adjustments may be required so the sidewalk is properly sloped toward the road. This work is listed as an alternative but will happen. Funding for this portion of the work is coming from a different funding source, Contractor to provide and install new fence on top of the retaining wall with this contract. Fence is to match existing. Preference is the new fence to be provided by the same manufacturer, Once the existing fence is removed, temporary fencing shall be installed during non-work time periods, Warranty - One year warranty to be provided - Fence removal - Retaining wall construction With fencing - Site restoration and landscaping Alternative Bid - Remove and replace existing sidewalk and curb and gutter
