OPENGOV PROJECT NO. AH50100070 CDBG The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified contractor to provide construction services for the project listed below. - The City of Phoenix proposes to construct two park projects known as the Edison Park Improvements and Linear Park Development Project (collectively known as the Project) that will serve the Edison-Eastlake Community residents. This Project, which includes the expansion and improvement of Edison Park, and the development of the Linear Park is located at 1940 E. Villa Street and N. 19th Street and Villa to Polk Streets, on portions of parcels 116-10-055D and 116-11-001F in Phoenix, Arizona 85006. The Project is located within the Edison-Eastlake Neighborhood and within the boundaries of the Choice Neighborhoods redevelopment area. The project site is approximately 11.21 total acres. The Edison Park site is approximately 8.11 acres, including the new expansion area of approximately 3.14 acres, and the Linear Park site is approximately 3.10 acres. - Edison Park will be enhanced and redesigned to activate the space and will feature amenities that are not possible on the existing footprint, including new sports fields, a skate plaza, a walking path, a ramada, increased seating, trees, versatile gathering spaces, a splash pad renovation, fitness equipment, a parking lot, a standalone park restroom, lighting, natural turf, and art. - The new Linear Park will provide open space for exercise and relaxation, gathering places, and spaces for group activities. The Linear Park will feature a plaza, walking/jogging path, playgrounds, a meditation garden, seating, BBQ grills, drinking fountains, shade structures, trees, lighting, sidewalks, curb ramps, a maintenance road, natural turf, and art design, fabrication, and installation. The pedestrian walkways connecting to the Festival Streets will include a sandblasted pattern on the concrete curbs. The City reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsible responsive bidder or all bids will be rejected, as soon as practicable after the date of opening bids.
