As of 9/5/2025, this project has been postponed until further notice. The Town of Pacolet is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to complete the first phase of development for Pacolet Station Park, located along the Norfolk Southern Line through Pacolet. This property, owned by Norfolk Southern and leased by the Town of Pacolet for use as a public community park, requires site preparation to allow for future phased improvements. Contractors shall provide line-item pricing for the following tasks: 1. Site Clearing - Remove small scrub trees and underbrush across the property. 2. Debris Removal - Remove and properly dispose of broken concrete, metal, trash, and other discarded materials from the site. 3. Tree Thinning - Selectively thin smaller undesirable trees to open the space for mowing and improve sightlines. 4. Grading - Grade the property to eliminate ruts, holes, or uneven ground to ensure mower safety. 5. Seeding - Apply grass seed suitable for the region and site conditions to establish a mowable surface. The final deliverable for Phase 1 is a graded, debris-free, and seeded park surface that can be fully maintained using a traditional commercial mower without damaging equipment Proposals must include: A detailed cost proposal with each task priced separately. A proposed project schedule, including anticipated start and completion dates. A minimum of three (3) references from previous clients, with at least one municipal/government client preferred, and a list of previous jobs completed for these clients. A description of equipment and methods to be used. An electronic copy of the proposal (via email or flash drive) in addition to the printed copy. Do not call Town Hall with questions.
