Renovation of a fire / police facility in Pacolet, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The Town of Pacolet is requesting proposals from qualified contractors to provide evaluation, repair, and improvement services at the Pacolet Police Department building. The building has experienced stormwater-related foundation issues, resulting in voids beneath the slab foundation, uneven flooring, and potential moisture concerns. The required work includes stabilizing the foundation, remediating potential moisture or mold issues, replacing interior flooring, and improving entrance security. Proposals may be submitted for individual components or the entire project as a single contract. The scope of work includes: evaluation and stabilization of the slab foundation where voids or settlement are present; identification and filling of voids beneath the slab; slab leveling as needed; repair of cracks in the concrete floor; structural stabilization of identified areas; repair or sealing of cracks in exterior building walls caused by foundation settlement; and repair of areas where the interior floor slab has separated from adjacent wall structures due to foundation movement.
