The Work consists of the following: Orangeburg County seeks a qualified, properly licensed General Contractor to construct the New Orangeburg County Courthouse, associated grounds and parking surfaces in Orangeburg County (collectively, the "Courthouse Project). These projects are collectively designated as Phase I Projects. The Courthouse is 4 stories with 135,473 gross square feet. There are two alternates identified that include upfitting of a Magistrates Suite and construction of Judge's Parking Expansion. The Work includes, but is not limited to the installation of utilities, foundations, concrete, masonry, structural steel and other metals, roofing, finishes, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, elevators and wheelchair lifts, bullet resistant features, fire suppression and communications and all other necessary components necessary to complete construction of the Courthouse Project. Site and site utility work is included. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Construction of a four story building of approximately 130,000 gross square feet. Concrete retaining wall, slab on grade, structural steel building frame with elevated slabs on metal deck. Exterior walls are cold formed metal stud framing with sheathing insulation and masonry veneer. Plumbing, mechanical, fire protection, and electrical system are included in the scope of work as indicated in the construction documents.
