Removal of a water tank roof surface coating, scarifying the surface to assure proper coating adhesion, followed by a 3-layer resurface coating with control joints. The work will also involve minor concrete surface repair during the scarification step. The anticipated Notice to Proceed for this project is scheduled between May and June 2026. Question Submission Deadline:September 18, 2025, 5:00pm Written questions must be submitted via email to Narinna.Ly@seattle.gov 1. Removal of a water tank roof surface coating, scarifying the surface to assure proper coating adhesion. 2. The removal and replacement of a failed roof coating by: a. Removing and existing costing by scarification methods. b. Inspection of the existing surface and minor concrete repairs. c. The installation of a 3-coat surfacing system with control jointing to accommodate structural movement. 3. Lift equipment for worker and material access to the roof. 4. Workers safety provisions (fall protection, silica exposure, etc.) 5. Methods, procedures, and measures required to prevent demolition and new roof coatings from contaminating roadways and storm utilities in areas touched by construction. 6. The anticipated Notice to Proceed for this project is scheduled between May and June 2026.
