Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Sheridan, Wyoming. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a medical facility; for the demolition of a medical facility; for site work for a medical facility; and for the renovation of a medical facility.

Design services are required for the installation of an expansion joint at the junction of the main tramway corridor and the corridor leading to Building 61 at the Sheridan Wyoming Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The existing tramway, constructed nearly ninety years ago without expansion joints, has suffered structural damage due to seasonal frost heave and steam pipe installations beneath it. The project aims to stabilize and strengthen the corridor intersections through a complete design plan that accounts for the structural condition and contributing factors to the corridors failure. Additionally, masonry repairs are needed along both sides of the tramway, including horizontal brick separations above window lintels and outward bowing of brickwork. The design must include masonry replacement, repointing, and restoration. All aspects of the design must comply with VA Design Manuals and applicable codes such as NFPA, NEC, IBC 2003, and others. The A-E firm will be responsible for structural, architectural, and mechanical design, coordination with VA interior designers, and submission of redlined drawings in AutoCAD. Investigative services include site inspections, interviews with medical center staff, and submission of a report with preliminary cost estimates and design sketches. The estimated construction cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The design must ensure minimal disruption to medical center operations and include a detailed sequence of work. Evaluation criteria for offerors include specialized experience, professional qualifications, capacity to meet deadlines, past performance, geographic location, commitment to SDVOSB/VOSB subcontracting, and experience in construction period services. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
