The Contractor and the LACDA agree that, since the determination of actual damages for any delay in completion would be extremely difficult or impracticable to determine in the event of breach of contract, the Contractor and his/her sureties shall be liable for, and shall pay to the LACDA the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) as liquidated damages for each calendar day of delay, until the Work is accepted by the LACDA. The Contractor shall not be charged with liquidated damages because of any delay in the completion of the Work due to unforeseeable causes beyond the control and without the fault ornegligence of the Contractor. The LACDA reserves the right to reject any and all quotes. This RFQ is not a contract or commitment of any kind.
