Traffic Signal Poles and Components The County Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids/proposals, and to Waive Any Informalities in Any Bid/proposal. Invitations for Bids (Ifb's) Shall Be Awarded to the Lowest Priced, Responsive, Responsible Bidder Meeting Specifications. Requests for Proposals (Rfp's) Will Be Awarded to the Responsive, Responsible Respondent Whose Proposal Has Been Deemed Most Advantageous in Accordance With the Evaluation Criteria Contained in the Rfp. This is a Federally Funded Project and Subject to Davis Bacon Wage Requirements. Each Bid Must Be Accompanied by a Surety Bond, Cashier's or Certified Check or Postal Money Order Equal to 10 Percent of the Bid, Made Payable to the Treasurer of Maricopa County as a Guarantee That if the Work is Awarded to the Bidder; the Bidder Will, Within Ten (10) Days From the Date of Notice of Award, Enter Into Proper Contract and Bond Condition for the Faithful Performance of the Work, Otherwise Said Amount Will Be Forfeited to the Board of Supervisors as Liquidated Damages. For This Contract, a Dbe Goal of 7.69% is Established for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. The Contractor, Sub Recipient or Subcontractor Shall Not Discriminate on the Basis of Race, Color, National Origin, or Sex in the Performance of This Contract. The Contractor Shall Carry Out Applicable Requirements of 49 Cfr Part 26 in the Award and Administration of Dot-assisted Contracts. Failure by the Contractor to Carry Out These Requirements is a Material Breach of This Contract, Which May Result in the Termination of This Contract or Such Other Remedy as the Recipient Deems Appropriate. The Maricopa County Department of Transportation, in Accordance With the Provisions of Title Vi of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat.252.42 U.s.c. 2000d-4) and the Regulations, Hereby Notifies All Bidders That It Will Affirmatively Ensure That Any Contract Entered Pursuant to This Advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises Will Be Afforded Full and Fair Opportunity to Submit Bids in Response to This Invitation and Will Not Be Discriminated Against on the Grounds of Race, Color, or National Origin in Consideration for an Award.
