All questions must be submitted in writing, and must be submitted to aosborne@elkocountynv.net Each bid must be accompanied by cash, certified check, cashier's check or bid bond for five (5%) percent of the total amount of the bid. A bidder shall possess a valid contractor's license pursuant to Nevada Revised Statutes, Chapter 624, at the time of submitting a bid. The acceptance of any bid by the Board of County Commissioners, hereinafter known as the OWNER, shall be contingent upon the bidding party submitting a performance and payment bond prior to signing a contract. The successful bidder will be required to comply with N.R.S. Chapter 338 Public Works Projects. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The right is reserved by the Board of County Commissioners to reject any and all bids or to accept such bid as deemed best by said Board, and to waive any technicality in the bid form of the bid. Elko County is constructing a garage to service the GBCAC. The successful contractor will need to design and build a 28' x 40' x 12' eave garage/storage building in the west parking area of the GBCAC. Work Expected by the Contractor Under this contract the contractor will be expected to design and build a 28' x 40' x 12' eave garage/storage building on the lot. The building design must meet all Elko County Building Code specifications. Any improvements or modifications to the street, or connections to any water or sewer system must meet the specifications of the City of Elko. The Contractor will be responsible for coordinating with each jurisdiction. Potential bidders must be aware that the previous project on this parcel encountered expansive soils during excavation. The contractor and bid must account for this possibility.
