Work covered under this section shall consist of furnishing all labor and equipment to remove the asphaltic pavement by milling to the thickness as shown in the contract documents. Surplus material will become property of the CONTRACTOR and shall be picked up and disposed of by the CONTRACTOR. Upon completion of the milling operations, the CONTRACTOR shall ramp all driveway entrances, and butt joints along the project route. The ramps shall provide a reasonably smooth transition from the existing pavement to the milled surface. The CONTRACTOR shall be required to maintain these ramps until the asphalt is placed, If proper signage is utilized, i.e. rough road or uneven surfaces, the CITY will allow up to three (3) days after milling operations to place the new asphalt surface. The CONTRACTOR will be allowed to place the binder surface and let the public ride on that surface for up to seven (7) days. This will allow the CONTRACTOR to schedule multiple streets for paving with a surface coat.
