The estimated budget, $82,500.00. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Forms provided in the Bidding Documents Package and be accompanied by the bidder's certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. A performance and payment bond will be required of the successful bidder. The successful bidder will also be required to submit a certificate of insurance for worker's compensation. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 30 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Joint Sewer Board reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, when it is determined in the best interest of the Joint Sewer Board to do so, to waive informalities or irregularities, and to determine the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, and to award the contract on that basis. SPECIFICATIONS FOR SANDBLASTING & PAINTING OF CLARIFIER 1. Set up, remove hand railings, protect or cover motor, gears, and controls. 2. Sandblast entire steel structure to an SSPC-SP7 to roughen existing epoxy for bonding of new coatings, any rusted or areas where needed blast to an SSPC-SP10. 3. Spot paint any and all areas that were blasted to an SSPC-SP10 with Sherwin Williams Dura-Plate 235 by brush and roller method. 4. Brush and roll edges, weld seams, bolts, nuts, and appurtenances with a 20% thinned Dura Plate 235. 5. Seam Seal lap plates or skip welded areas with Sherwin Williams Steel Seam FT910. 6. Spray apply 1 full coat of Sherwin Williams 100% Solids epoxy to entire steel structure. 7. Steel structure above waterline (bridge and walkway) will receive an additional coat of Sherwin Williams High Solids Polyurethane applied by brush and roller. 8. Remove any protective coverings/spray foam fillers and replace hand railing. 9. Remove & dispose of blast media.
