The Oakmead extension project will install recycled water pipelines in key areas to extend service to landscape irrigation customers, including parks, schools, and community facilities. This project includes 1,700 feet of pipeline along Cypress Drive from the Shollenberger Park entrance to South McDowell Boulevard, 1,100 feet along Pine View Way, and 4,300 feet along South McDowell Boulevard. from Cypress Drive to Lakeville Highway. This Oakmead expansion also involves converting existing irrigation systems to recycled water, reducing the city’s reliance on potable water. This project aligns with Petaluma's Integrated Water Master Plan and contributes to long-term water supply resiliency. As of Sept 3, 2025, this project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
