The Baywood Drive/101 Crossing extension project is an important step in the City's urban recycled water expansion program, designed to connect the recycled water system across the 101 Freeway. This project will install 600 linear feet of 12-inch diameter pipeline under the freeway, creating an essential connection to extend recycled water access to new areas. This extension will not only serve existing landscape irrigation customers but will also optimize the use of the city's current recycled water infrastructure, supporting the City's goal to reduce potable water usage. Initial design and coordination with Caltrans are planned to ensure a smooth integration of this infrastructure upgrade. Supported by a grant from United States Bureau of Reclamation (USBR), this project aligns with Petaluma's Integrated Water Master Plan and contributes to long-term water supply resiliency. As of Sept 3, 2025, this project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
