Project Duration The Project shall be completed within 8 to 12 weeks from the issuance of the Agreement. At no point will any work be completed beyond December 2026. Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 09/17/2025 12:00 PM (PDT) Scope of Services The scope of work includes the following: Task 1. Removal of Hazardous Trees Removal of hazardous trees as described above. Stumps are not expected to be removed nor ground, but shall be flush cut to ground level (maximum of 4 inches above ground) by Contractor, using chain saws or other available equipment. No excavation is expected or allowed (See Exhibit B, pages 24 and 25). Task 2. Staging of Hazardous Trees for Processing Contractor will be responsible to place the cut trees in smaller trunk pieces of manageable size as described below in the adjacent Staging Area for concurrent or future tree and vegetation processing. o Contractor shall cut any trunks or branches between 10-inch diameter and 3-foot diameter to 10-foot-long sections and placed in Staging Area. o Contractor shall cut any trunks or branches 3-foot diameter or above to 4-foot-long sections and placed in the Staging Area (see Exhibit B, page 25). o Any branches or trunks that are 10-inch diameter and below is considered chippable material and shall be staged by Contractor separately at lengths not to exceed 15 feet. This vegetation debris will be staged near provided chippers, to be operated by Others. General Considerations o The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals. A combination of boom trucks, bucket trucks, cranes, all terrain trimmers, and many other associated arborist tools will be needed for removal of Hazardous Trees and for staging. Other typical tools include shovels, rakes, hand saws, loppers, and chainsaws. o The Contractor shall provide an on-site and accessible portable restroom for their workers that is serviced at least weekly during all periods of work on the project. o The Contractor shall be responsible for initiating, maintaining, and supervising all health and safety precautions and programs, including personal protective equipment, in connection with the performance of the services provided. o The Authority's Project Manager or designees will inspect the job site as necessary for the desired outcome. Authority Habitat Maintenance or Watershed Caretaker staff may also assist in the task as part of the team, including operation of Authority equipment. The Contractor will not be permitted to operate Authority trucks or equipment. Contractors shall coordinate its activities and operations and comply with direction from said Authority staff. o The Contractor shall give notices and comply with all applicable laws and regulations of any public body having jurisdiction for the safety of persons or property and to protect them from damage, injury or loss, and shall erect and maintain all necessary safeguards for such safety and protection. Similarly, the Contractor must comply with laws and regulations protecting the environment, including water bodies (lakes, rivers, and streams) and species (plants and animals). Failure to comply or cause damage, injury, or loss to persons, property, or the environment could be grounds for contract termination and result in violation and consequences of these laws and regulations. o All contractor staff and workers must attend an approximately 30-minute Authority provided environmental and treatment plant safety orientation on the Project and Project area. Only workers who have attended this training are permitted to be on Authority premises and working on the project. o Invoicing shall be monthly (i.e. November 1 to November 30) and provided no later than 15 days after the end of the month. o Tree care industry standard practices are expected to be followed by Contractor. o The Authority will ultimately choose which areas will be prioritized (i.e. phasing of Project)
