The Methuen Housing Authority (MHA) is soliciting written quotes from qualified contractors to provide hardwood floor sanding and refinishing services at its public housing developments. This procurement is conducted as a service contract under M.G.L. c.30. Locations & sanding/refinishing detail: 24 Mystic Street (667 Elderly Units) - Living Room, Eating Area, Bedroom, Closet 75 Edgewood Avenue (667 Elderly Units) - Living Room, Bedroom, Closet JFK Family Units (Chapter 200) - Bedrooms, Living Room, Hallway, Closets, Stairs. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, and materials to complete the following services: Sand and refinish pre-finished hardwood flooring. Apply two (2) coats of oil based polyurethane Remove surface stains Minor surface patching Dust control and protection of adjacent surfaces. Clean up and removal of all debris. Quotes will be evaluated based on the lowest evaluated total for the estimated annual units. Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. Contractor must maintain the following: o General Liability: $500,000 per occurrence / $1,000,000 aggregate Workers' Compensation: Statutory coverage Proof of insurance must be submitted once contract is awarded. Work may only occur Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, unless otherwise approved by . Contractor must coordinate scheduling with MHA staff and residents. Contractor shall respond to scheduling requests within 24 hours. Contractor shall begin work within 2 weeks of scheduling request, extension provided at MHA discretion Work in any unit should be completed within 2 business days. additional time provided at MHA discretion. This project is subject to Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Law (M.G.L. c.149, $26-27). MHA reserves the right to reject any non-responsive or non-responsible quote.
