The project location is located in Edina, the phasing map is showing in Appendix A. 1.2 PROJECT DESCRIPTION A. The project involves but is not limited to the complete replacement of existing water meters and registers for most properties within the City. Individual elements of work shall include, but are not limited to: 1. Removal of existing water meters. 2. Coordinating with property owners to schedule meter replacements. 3. Furnishing and installing new water meters including encoder registers and radio frequency meter interface units. 4. Water service line inventories. 5. Confined space entry. 6. Other miscellaneous work shown on the plans or specified herein. 1.3 CONTRACTOR USE OF PROJECT SITE A. The Contractors use of the project site shall be limited to its construction operations. No materials shall be stored in a location as to limit access to the affected public. Any damage caused by Contractor operations to private property, including but not limited to, parking lots, trees, shrubs, material spatter, etc. shall promptly be corrected at the Contractor’s expense. The Prime Contractor organization shall perform work amounting to not less than 40 percent ofthe total original Contract. Ifthe contract contains Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and/or Targeted Group Business (TGB) established goals, the Prime Contractor’s organization shall perform work amounting to not less than 30 percent ofthe total original Contract.
