The board of supervisors for northern township is requesting quote/s for road blading and snowplowing. Summer maintenance road grading. Winter maintenance snow plowing. Each item must be quoted separately. Winter maintenance will begin Nov 1, 2025. Contractor will be required to maintain approximately 13 miles of gravel roads and 37 miles of paved roads in accordance with township policy. Contractor shall agree to a one-year contract, which may be extended after the one-year period. Documents of roads maintained each day will be required in the form of a monthly report. Two graders with plows and wings for winter maintenance and must be operable at all times (backup plan required). Grader shall include a wing for winter snowplowing. Snowplow truck shall have front plow and wing. If truck does not have a wing, roads shall be preapproved that the truck may operate on. Deviations to plan must be preapproved by Road Supervisor Sanding and salting equipment required. 24-hour availability is required and should be stated in quote. Fuel escalation will not be considered during the terms of the contract. A Certificate of Insurance for General Liability of $1,000,000 CSL minimum and the minimum requirement on Worker's Compensation Employee's Liability must be included with the quote. Also, federal requirements regarding licensing and drug testing must be met. The Northern Town Board reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all quotes and further reserves the right to award the contract in the best interest of the township.
