Catawba County is soliciting proposals, on behalf of Western Piedmont Council of Governments, for General Contractors only, to provide two (2) home rehabilitations. Catawba County has received a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Scattered Site Housing Project to rehabilitate homes. The houses to be rehabilitated are located on 24th Street SW, Hickory, North Carolina (has leadbased paint abatement items) and Spring Valley Drive, Newton, North Carolina. Jobs consist of new vinyl windows; floor support system; roof shingle removal and replacement; guttering; attic insulation; electrical work; plumbing work; floor covering installation; interior painting; kitchen appliance replacements as well as other carpentry work. Submit Written Questions Contractor September 19, 2025 by 5:00 PM Catawba County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive informalities as may be permitted by law.
