Request for Proposals (Rfp) for Design-build Services UW Facilities, Project Delivery Group, will be issuing an Advertisement for RFP for GC/CM Services sometime in September 2025 for the UWMC ML Energy Efficiency Upgrades project. The UWMC-ML Energy Efficiency Upgrades Project (208817) will improve energy performance across multiple mechanical rooms located on both the roof and in the basement of the UW Medical Center. The work includes replacing outdated pneumatic controls with direct digital controls (DDC), installing variable frequency drives (VFDs), removing obsolete vortex actuators, and upgrading dampers, actuators, and reheat valves. Control logic will be modernized to ensure BACnet interoperability and enable data acquisition and performance monitoring. The identification of specific scope items and prioritization of upgrades will be developed during the design phase, informed by site assessments, input from the design team and GC/CM partner, and detailed cost estimates.
