The Kentucky Community and Technical College System, Office for Facilities Support Services, on behalf of Somerset Community College (SCC) desires to procure professional mechanical engineering services and as necessary additional project team members to accomplish HVAC upgrades - Phase II in certain buildings on their Somerset South Campus in Somerset, Kentucky. The work to be accomplished is as follows: 1451 Building 1: Office / Classrooms / Shops 1. Complete HVAC renovation in the office/classroom area. VAV with hot water reheat. 2. New high efficiency condensing natural gas boilers and pumps. 3. Add air conditioning to shops. 4. Verify chiller installed in 2018-19 is in good working condition. Use this chiller to supply air conditioning for the shops. 5. Add all new HVAC controls. This building is already on the front-end graphics, however not much is being controlled. 1454 Building 4: Cosmetology 1. Replace existing split system with new HVAC to meet current code requirements. 2. New natural gas water heaters. Current setup is not ideal. 3. Add all new HVAC controls. 1455 Building 5: Diesel Mechanics 1. Replace all fume extractors with new. 2. Replace spit systems serving office spaces. 3. Add general ventilation, air conditioning and/or HVLS (high volume low speed) fans to shop area. 4. Replace natural gas heaters. 5. Add all new HVAC controls. This project is to be accomplished as quickly as possible. The schedule indicated in this RFP will be important to follow. Responsible Vendors who have proper experience and qualifications are invited to submit.
