Renovation of an educational facility in Somerset, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.

The project consists of roof replacement of one building at Somerset Community College - South Campus (Building 2). The work includes tearing off the existing roof membrane, sheet metal, metal counter flashings, and roof components as indicated. Questions received less than ten (10) calendar days prior to the date for receipt of Bids may not be answered. Where indicated on Drawings, remove existing roofing and other roofing system components down to the existing metal roof deck. 1. Remove roof insulation. 2. Remove base flashings and counter flashings where indicated on Drawings. 3. Remove copings where indicated on Drawings. 4. Remove flashings at pipes, curbs, mechanical equipment, and other penetrations. 5. Remove wood blocking, curbs, and nailers where indicated on Drawings. B. Where indicated on Drawings, install new SBS roofing system over existing metal deck as follows: 1. Mechanically attach base layer of 2.2" polyisocyanurate insulation to metal deck. a. Exception: Where indicated on the Drawings, install first layer of polyisocyanurate insulation board in insulation adhesive. 2. Adhere second layer of 2.2" polyisocyanurate insulation with insulation adhesive to base layer of insulation. 3. Install tapered polyisocyanurate crickets and saddles, with insulation adhesive. 4. Install one layer of cover board with insulation adhesive. 5. Install one ply of smooth surface SBS modified bitumen fiberglass mat base sheet with cold asphalt adhesive. 6. Install replacement roof drains. 7. Install one ply of granule surfaced SBS modified bitumen cap sheet with cold roof adhesive. 8. Adhere foil faced modified flashings at walls and curbs.
