Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Newport News, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The scope of the project is to install (2) fibber-optic cables originating from the b08 control room rack to (2) separate buildings (b01 & b85). Installation will require entry into the manhole system. The subcontractor is responsible for all required training and all equipment needed for a complete and functioning system. Entry into each manhole will require a confined space entry permit. The subcontractor is responsible for all confined space entry equipment, including a pump with sediment bag, for a safe entry into the confined space. All terminations, termination equipment, and cabling shall be tested. The test report shall be turned over to the tr prior to final payment. Lengths of fibber given in this scope of work are approximate. The subcontractor is responsible for obtaining accurate distances for fibber prior to bid. Each fibber to be corning freedom single-mode I/o fibber. Ends to be terminated with lc ends. Fibber distribution units (fdus) shall be corning type cch.
