It is the responsibility ofthe Vendor to inquire about any portion ofthe RFP that is not fully understood or susceptible to more than one interpretation Description: The City of Bloomington is seeking proposals from qualified individuals, firms, partnerships, and corporations having specific experience in the area(s) of investigation, design, plan production and construction administration for the preservation of multiple bridges in the State of Minnesota, and interested in providing these consulting services to the City. Replace timber retaining walls with Precast Modular Block Walls (other options can be proposed). Replace deck timbers and tie-down straps. Review condition and repair any damaged truss members. Paint the bridge. Rebuild bridge approaches on both sides of bridge and maintain ADA compliance. Incorporate public art and introduce options for lighting features. Sandblasting and painting of approximately 15% of north K-frame girder. Clean and seal concrete bridge railings. Flood seal of bridge deck. This will also include a flood seal of the American Boulevard Bridge over Highway 100 (Bridge #27647) and the Auto Club Bridge (Bridge #27563) decks. Regrade west slope and install erosion control measures under the bridge. There will be additional grading and retaining wall work done under the west side ofthe 106th St bridge adj acent to the existing trail that runs next to Nine Mile Creek. This work will be completed with the Nine Mile Creek Corridor Renewal Project in 2026 and 2027 and will have to be coordinated with this project. The work as part ofthe Nine Mile Creek Corridor Renewal Project will include maintenance of the existing timber walls under the west side of the bridge adjacent to the trail that runs along Nine Mile Creek. Potential repair and sealing ofthe concrete parapet below the metal railings. Replace missing anchor rods ofthe metal railing and perform in-depth inspection ofsimilar rods.
