construction of: Cleveland Community College Student Activity Center Storage Addition This project includes the enclosing of an existing open loading dock area that currently has a portion covered with a standing seam metal roof and chain-link fence enclosure. The project is located on the southern end of the Jack Hunt Campus Center Building . Demolition of concrete will be required to allow for the installation of new steel column footings. The project will consist of enclosing approximately 1,650 sf of space and will include new electrical, HVAC, and sprinkler system. There is an overhead coiling door required also. The exterior walls will consist of metal stud and brick veneer, and the roof will match the existing standing seam metal roof. Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in North Carolina. The bonds shall be in the full contract amount. Bonds shall be executed in the form bound with these specifications. An authorized agent of the bonding company who is licensed to do business in North Carolina shall countersign all bonds. Contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the State laws governing their respective trades and that North Carolina General Statute 87 will be observed in receiving and awarding contracts including the submission of the proper MBE forms attached herein. General Contractors must have general license classification for General Construction. No bid may be withdrawn after the opening of bids for a period of 30 days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities. Bids shall be made only on the BID/ACEPTANCE form provided herein with all blank spaces for bids properly filled in and all signatures properly executed. The state reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals.
