Air quality improvement The state reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals. Bids will be received for single prime contracts only . All proposals shall be lump sum. CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE: General contractors are notified that Chapter 87, Article 1, General Statutes of North Carolina, will be observed in receiving and awarding general contracts. General contractors submitting bids on this project must have licen se classification for unlimited general construction. NOTE: Under GS 87-1, a contractor that superintends or manages construction of any building, highway, public utility, grading, structure, or improvement shall be deemed as "general contractor" and shall be so licensed. Therefore, a single prime projec t that involves other trades will require the single prime contractor to hold a proper General Contractors license. In the case of separate prime or dual bidding, Plumbing, mechanical and electrical prime contractors are notified that Genera l Statutes Chapter 87, Articles 2 & 4, will be observed in receiving and awarding plumbing, mechanical and electrical contracts . Payment will be made based on ninety-five percent (95%) of monthly estimates and final payment made upon completion and acceptance of work. AWARD OF THE CONTRACT: No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 30 days. The Bidder shall guarantee its Bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days from the date of the opening . Award of this contract is subject to approval by the Board of Trustees of Cleveland Community College. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any and all bids. OWNER'S RIGHTS RESERVED: The owner reserves the right to cancel this Notice Inviting Bids at any time, and further reserves the right to reject all submitted bids, without giving any reason for such action, at its sole discretion and without liability. All costs incurred by Bidders, as a result of preparing Bids under this Notice Inviting Bids, shall be the sole responsibility of each Bidder. This Notice Inviting Bids creates no obligation upon the OWNER to enter into a contract. Question Deadline 11/13/2025 All communications relative to this PROJECT shall be directed to Hakeem R Bailey no later than seven (7) days prior to opening of the Bids at the following address. PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All communications relative to this PROJECT shall be directed to Hakeem R Bailey no later than seven (7) days prior to opening of the Bids at the following address. The Contractor shall commence work to be performed under this Contract on a date to be specified in written order from the Designer/Owner and shall fully complete all work hereunder within ( 160 ) consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. For each day in excess of the above number of days, the Contractor shall pay the Owner the amount of Dollars ($ 500.00 ) as liquidated damages reasonably estimated in advance to cover the losses to be incurred by the Owner should the Contractor fail to complete the Work within the time specified. This project involves the replacement of a make up air unit with a dehumidification enabled make up air unit. The roof top units on the baseball field house will be replaced. ALTERNATE 1: Add two patio style unit heaters. Remove and replace dedicated outdoor air handler with a split outdoor air handler and condensing unit for cooling and dehumidification of outside air. Remove and replace two packaged rooftop units on the multi-purpose facility. New thermostats will be provided. There is an alternate for adding patio heaters on the exterior of the multi-purpose facility. Contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the State laws governing their respective trades and that North Carolina General Statute 87 will be observed in receiving and awarding contracts. General Contractors must have general license classification for limited classification. No bid may be withdrawn after the opening of bids for a period of 30 days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities. Bids shall be made only on the BID/ACEPTANCE form provided herein with all blank spaces for bids properly filled in and all signatures properly executed.
