Reference Number 0000400448 The City of Aurora Water Department (Aurora Water (AW)) is investigating the development of a reservoir in Park County, Colorado. Based on Aurora Water's need to reliably provide water supply to the Aurora community, a reservoir that provides approximately 95,000 acre-feet of storage is being considered. Aurora Water has been investigating two locations; Wild Horse Reservoir which is approximately 12 miles southwest of Spinney Mountain Reservoir and Wild Horse South Reservoir which is approximately 18 miles southwest of Spinney Mountain Reservoir. AW intends to move the design of both locations forward for internal evaluation.
