The project involves interior demolition and renovation work within the secure environment of the Adult Detention Center. The work includes replacement and repairs to overhead HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems, ceiling replacement, new flooring and wall base, new painted finishes, and maintenance repairs on kitchen rooftop equipment. Each bid must be based on a single lump sum and include all required work. Bidders must be licensed in Arkansas, able to obtain insurance and bonds as required, and provide a certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond equal to at least 5% of the base bid as guarantee. No bids may be withdrawn for sixty days after the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities. Federal funding and Davis-Bacon wage rates do not apply to this project. Document info : It will be the responsibility of the Prime Bidders to ensure that they get full sets of bid documents including any addenda issued by the Architect in behalf of the County. BID SECURITY Proposals shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond made payable to Sebastian County, Arkansas in the amount of not less than 5% of the base bid proposal submitted as a guarantee that the Contractor will enter into a written contract, and will furnish the required bonds, should the award be made to the bidder. LICENSE All Bidders must be licensed in the State of Arkansas under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. BID VALIDITY No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities. Any or all bids may be rejected if there is a sound documented reason. EMPLOYMENT No Federal funding will be applied to this project. Bidders are advised that the Davis-Bacon Federal Wage Rates for Sebastian County will not apply to this project.
