The Village of Westphalia will receive sealed bids for two individual roadway improvement projects. The Village is requesting Bids for the construction of the 2026 Street Improvements. 2026 Street Improvements Project Items of work on John Street and Willow Street include 870 ft of full width 2" HMA overlay from South Westphalia Street to Beech Street, including casting adjustments. Items of work on West Elm Street and West Pine Street include construction of approximately 600 feet of road reconstruction including, sand subbase, aggregate base, and 4" HMA resurfacing, associated drive approaches, 900 feet of 10" storm sewer, 100 feet of 8" sanitary sewer, ADA compliant curb ramps, surface restoration; mulch blanket, traffic control and all related work. Items of work on East Pine Street include removal and replacement of approximately 120 feet of 60" diameter culvert, including storm sewer and drainage improvements, approximately 150 of road reconstruction including, sand subbase, aggregate base, and 4" HMA resurfacing; surface restoration; mulch blanket, traffic control and all related work. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. A pre-bid conference will not be held. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The Village of Westphalia reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the Village of Westphalia. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. 7.03 Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered Plan Holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
