Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Camarillo, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Carmenita Park Playground Project The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required in the Plans, Specifications and Contract documents for the demo and installation of said project to be completed. The work will take place at 1506 Sevilla St. in Camarillo, California, and other related work as described in the Specifications and Contract Documents, by reference, made a part hereof. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. All work to be done under this contract shall be completed within Thirty (30) consecutive working days, exclusive of maintenance periods, beginning on the date stipulated in the written "Notice to Proceed" to be issued by the Engineer. Liquidated damages of $250/day will apply to this project. See Special Provisions for detailed information on liquidated damages. Bids must be accompanied by cash, or by cashier's or certified check made payable to the Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District, or by a bid bond executed by an admitted surety insurer on the bond form provided herein, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of bid price, made payable to the Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District as a guarantee that the bidder, whose bid is accepted, will promptly execute the contract, secure payment of workers' compensation insurance, and furnish a satisfactory faithful performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price and a payment bond (labor and material bond) in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price which complies with all of the requirements of Civil Code Section 9554. Question Deadline 10/31/2025 All bid questions shall be submitted by email to Nick Marienthal, at Nmarienthal@pvrpd.org for the benefit of all proposed bidders. The questions shall be submitted no later than 72 hours in advance of bid date for a response. At the time of "Award of the Contract", the Prime Contractor must have a valid California State Contractor's License with a classification of "A" or "D-34" in accordance with provisions of California Business and Professions Code Sections 7000 through 7145 and the contractor shall warrant that it and all subcontractors are properly licensed, which includes each entity having a local business license. Contractor must be a certified GameTime playground installer. The engineer's estimate for this project is: $75,000.00- 80,000.00 The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding, should it deem this necessary for the public good, and also the bid of the bidder who has been delinquent or unfaithful in any former contract with the Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District. No bidder may withdraw his or her bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date from the opening thereof. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
