Site work for a water / sewer project in Visalia, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Removal of a welded steel roof cover, supports and appurtenances on the District s existing above-ground water storage tank, reinstallation of the welded steel roof, new structural supports and painting of the steel roof and tank interior and installation and removal of necessary water supply bypass pipelines, connections and controls to accomplish the construction (Work). The successful Bidder shall produce the required Performance and Payment Bonds within fifteen (15) calendar days from the award of the Contract. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a faithful Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred (100) percent of the Contract price and a Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred (100) percent of the Contract price, said bonds to be obtained from a surety company satisfactory to the District and insurance coverage in defined coverages and amounts. A time limit for the final completion of the Work of one hundred forty (140) calendar days, from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed, has been set and liquidated damages shall be assessed according to the Contract Documents for each calendar day thereafter that the Work is not completed. The award will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder in accordance with these Contract Documents, but the District reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and waive minor discrepancies in the Bid.
