Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Bondurant, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a 22,200-square-foot water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
1. New Water Treatment Plant: Construction of a 22,200 SF precast concrete/CMU building with wood roof trusses and prestressed precast concrete deck. Installation of induced draft aeration, horizontal pressure filtration, R.O. filtration, process piping, valves, low/high service pump rooms, chemical room, and other appurtenances. Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Standby Power and SCADA equipment installation. Finished administration area containing locker room/ bathrooms, breakroom, meeting room, offices, lab, and control room. 2. Raw Water Detention Tank: Construction of a cast-in-place concrete detention tank, approximately 88’Lx25’Wx15’T. (3) full height baffle walls with cast-in-place concrete cap. Aeration equipment and associated piping and valves. 3. Ground Storage Reservoir: Construction of a 600,000 gallon welded steel tank ground-storage-reservoir, approximately 60’ diameter, 32’ tall, with a domed top. Including a cast-in place reinforced concrete foundation on engineered compacted fill. Roof hatches, tank mixing and associated piping and valves. 4. Backwash Tank: Construction of a cast-in-place concrete backwash tank approximately 25’Lx25W’x14’T with a cast in place lid. 5. Sanitary Sewer Lift Station: Construction of (3) precast manholes on cast-in - place foundations. Manholes to be precast 72” diameter x 9’T, precast box culvert 8’x10’ and precast 120” diameter X 26’T. Manholes to include piping, valves, hatches, and pumps. A refabricated control building sitting on a cast-inplace foundation. Control building contains all controls, power distribution, VFDS, and ATS. 6. Water Treatment Plant Site Improvements: Site erosion control and management, including SWPPP preparation and management throughout project. New stormwater detention basin. Site grading, piping, paving, seeding, and other required landscaping. Questions must be submitted no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, February 20, 2026. Construction Timeframe: Site earthwork and foundations start June 2026; Building foundations start November 2026; Building enclosure by May 2027; potable water to the distribution system December 2027. Bidding Timeframe: Drawings and specifications to be released around March 09, 2026, with bids being due around April 07, 2026. Story Construction retains the right to reject any/all submissions if documentation is flawed, incomplete, or insufficient to properly evaluate. Submissions must be fully completed on the correct form and include all supporting documentation to be considered responsive.
